New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has been the talk of the NFL offseason after his alleged relationship with former NFL insider Dianna Russini was revealed in April. The ensuing scandal has caused widespread discourse among fans and analysts over the ethics of the relationship between the coach and the reporter.
Mike Vrabel and Wife Pictured in Son’s Engagement Party
Vrabel and his wife, Jennifer, were pictured together during their son, Tyler’s, engagement party in a post shared by his fiancée, Mariah Romano, on Instagram on Sunday.
The picture of the engaged couple, Vrabel and his wife, was captioned: “The most perfect engagement surrounded by the people I love most.”
Tyler was an offensive lineman for Boston College before going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft and signing with the Atlanta Falcons thereafter. He played his only offensive NFL snaps in a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Dec. 2023 before he was placed on the reserve/retired list.
After initially dismissing the perception of Page Six’s splash of him and Russini holding hands at an adults-only resort in Arizona when the story of their alleged affair first broke in April, Vrabel revealed that he would miss Day 3 of the NFL Draft to attend counseling.
In the aftermath of the scandal, Russini resigned from her position at The Athletic, and Page Six published additional photos of them kissing at a bar in New York six years earlier.
TMZ also published footage of Vrabel and Russini on the dock of a private boat rental in 2021, when the latter was pregnant with her first child.

NFL Writer Makes Huge Claim About Vrabel and Russini
During an appearance on “The Howard Eskin Show” on Saturday, NFL writer Crissy Froyd, who was reportedly fired by USA TODAY after commenting on the Vrabel-Russini scandal, issued a shocking allegation about the timeline of the relationship between the pair.
Eskin asked her, “How far back do you think people knew that this was going on between Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel?”
“At least 10 years,” Froyd replied. “At least 10 years. I would assume… for what I know between her and him and certainly for what I know about her, at least 10 years.”
“To me, the worst part of it was… I would almost feel bad for her if she, like, fell in love for six months and made these horrible mistakes and she owned up to it ‘cause everybody makes mistakes in their lifetime… But you don’t make the same mistake for six years, 10 years, anything of that longevity whatsoever.”
However, Froyd’s allegations regarding the timeline of Vrabel and Russini’s relationship were not backed by any evidence and remain unsubstantiated.
