Once the Los Angeles Rams acquired Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, they became the heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl. Adding the reigning Defensive Player of the Year to a team that made the NFC Championship Game means problems for the rest of the league.
However, Garrett may not be the only Rams defender that teams have to worry about. Reports have surfaced that future Hall of Fame defensive tackle Aaron Donald may return to the Rams.
Cooper Kupp Jokingly Says Aaron Donald Will Not Return
Donald has been retired for the past two seasons, and he is 35 years old. Yet, the Rams would still welcome him back with open arms, knowing his track record. Even though Donald has not played in two seasons, one of his former teammates, Cooper Kupp, would not be happy to see him back with L.A.
Kupp joined “The Rich Eisen Show” to discuss his former team and the potential return of Donald. “I already texted him and told him he’s not allowed, so we’re good,” Kupp said of Donald possibly returning.
“I just texted Aaron and said, ‘Don’t even think about it,’ and left it at that. So, we’re good. I’m not worried about it, because he’s not. Because I told him he can’t. I already nipped it in the bud. No one has to worry.”

Kupp, now with the Seattle Seahawks, began his career with the Rams and had one of the best seasons in NFL history with them in 2021. He caught 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. He won Offensive Player of the Year, was third in NFL MVP voting, and led the Rams to the Super Bowl, where he was the MVP.
The last time we saw Donald on an NFL field was in 2023, when he recorded 8.0 sacks and 16 tackles for loss and was named first-team All-Pro. According to PFSN, Donald also had a DT Impact Score of 100.3, which was the best in the NFL.

He was elite throughout his 10-year NFL career; there is no reason to think that would change. Adding Donald next to Garrett would give the Rams one deadly duo on the defensive front.
The Rams have a long road ahead of them, playing in the NFC West and having one of the toughest schedules in football. However, their front office understands their window to win is now, which is why they are going all in with their moves this offseason.
