‘Hot Damn’ — WNBA Reacts to Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hull’s Stunning Pregame Fits Ahead of Fever-Valkyries

Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull turned heads with their pregame fits before the Fever beat the Valkyries on Indy 500 weekend.

Indianapolis is currently the center of the sports universe. The Indiana Fever are head-to-head against the Golden State Valkyries for a crucial matchup, and the Indy 500 is all set to energize the city this weekend.

Amidst this noise, Fever stars Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull stole the spotlight without taking a single shot.

The race weekend was already hard to miss for fans. Fever star Caitlin Clark was already in the headlines as the grand marshal for Sunday’s Indianapolis 500.

And now, Cunningham and Hull are heating up things for the citizens of Indianapolis with their fits. It was a moment that fit a city already running at full throttle.

Hull read the moment perfectly. Her tunnel fit was built around an oversized white zip-up jacket with red and blue stripes and checkered flag detailing, paired with a bandeau crop top, high-waisted black shorts, and black knee-high boots.

The jacket was a Homefield coaches piece modeled on 1960s and ’70s racing sidelines, complete with a winged logo.

Cunningham understood the assignment as well, keeping it sharp in a black strapless tube top and black textured tweed shorts.

The Fever’s official account set the tone. “Lexie Hull is ready for #Indy500 race weekend,” the team posted.

Hater Report shared photos of both, captioning them, “Sophie Cunningham & Lexi Hull pregame.”

One reaction needed just two words. “Hot damn,” a user wrote.

Another saw a season heating up. “Sophie Cunningham & Lexi Hull serving looks pregame,” the post read. “WNBA summer just got hotter.”

A third user kept it to a single beat: “Woah.”

A different angle of Cunningham’s outfit drew its own post, captioned “Sophie so” alongside fire and chili pepper emojis.

Cunningham’s and Hull’s looks landed, and so did the result, as Indiana beat Golden State 90-82, moving to 4-2 on the season.

Clark returned to drop 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting and 9 assists with a steal and a block. Aliyah Boston controlled the paint for 20 points and 16 rebounds.

Kelsey Mitchell chipped in 19, and Cunningham gave the bench a lift with 11.

Hull’s role has been quietly climbing. Indiana had won back-to-back games with her in the starting lineup heading into Friday, leaning on her defense and spacing. She knocked down two 3-pointers against the Valkyries.

The Valkyries dropped to 3-2 despite 19 points from Tiffany Hayes and 18 from Kaitlyn Chen off the bench.

The two teams run it back Thursday in the Bay Area for the rematch.
