While Jannik Sinner was busy capturing the Italian Open title in Rome, his girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic, was preparing for a very different kind of spotlight. Just days after the world No. 1’s historic victory at the Italian Open in Rome, the Danish model jetted off to France and made a stunning appearance at the Cannes Film Festival that stole the show.
Jannik Sinner’s Girlfriend Laila Hasanovic Captivates the Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most glamorous events in global entertainment, held on the French Riviera as an exclusive showcase where Hollywood A-listers, international supermodels, and high-profile influencers show up.
Attending the premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s movie “Amarga Navidad,” Hasanovic dazzled photographers in a white gown that fused the classic glamor of Old Hollywood with contemporary couture.
Before stepping in front of the flashing lights, the 25-year-old shared her excitement with her hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers. She posted behind-the-scenes glimpses adorned in diamond jewelry with the caption: “before the red carpet. pinch meeeeeee.”
The strapless gown was from the brand Genny’s Spring-Summer 2026 collection, conceived by creative director Sara Cavazza Facchini.
After the event, Hasanovic posted the look on her stories.

The couple got together in 2025 following high-profile breakups: Sinner split from fellow tennis star Anna Kalinskaya, and Hasanovic parted ways with Formula 1 driver Mick Schumacher. The “soft launch” happened completely by accident at the US Open, when a viral fan video revealed that Hasanovic was the world No. 1’s lock screen wallpaper. Sinner finally confirmed the relationship during his victory speech at the Vienna Open in October 2025.
Amid her demanding modeling and influencer schedule, Hasanovic made sure to be present for her boyfriend’s historic moment, notably attending the Monte-Carlo Masters and Italian Open. During Sinner’s semifinal run and subsequent 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Casper Ruud in the final, cameras frequently captured her cheering him on. Fans were particularly moved by a heartwarming moment during the tournament where Hasanovic was seen warmly embracing Sinner’s brother, Mark, highlighting her close bond with the champion’s family.
The French Open main draw officially begins on Sunday, May 24, and runs through June 7. Sinner’s opening match to be scheduled as a marquee event on Court Philippe-Chatrier, highly likely during one of the premium Night Sessions. He is currently riding an unprecedented 34-match winning streak at the Masters 1000 level, and winning the French Open will be his first Grand Slam of the year.
