‘GOAT,’ ‘Terminator Vibes’ — NFL World Reacts to Tom Brady’s Runway Modeling Debut at Gucci Fashion Show

How did Tom Brady look donning Gucci on the runway? Here's what the NFL world's saying about the 7-time champ's runway debut.

It’s the offseason, but New England Patriots legend Tom Brady decided to spice things up and give the NFL world something to talk about this week.

While many football players have ventured into modeling over the years, few have had the privilege of being decked out completely in Gucci. Brady, however, got a chance to do just that.

Tom Brady Turns Heads on the Runway For Gucci

Brady previously dipped his toes into the modeling world, collaborating with brands such as Aston Martin, TAG Heuer, Under Armour, and more. His latest venture, though, saw him walk the runway for the first time at Gucci’s fashion show.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport posted a video of Brady donning an all-black leather outfit this weekend.

The NFL world reacted in droves, tweeting their thoughts about the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s retirement activities.

Some compared the NFL icon in his all-black leather wear to DC’s Catwoman and the Terminator.

“Terminator vibes lol,” Dawg Pound Daily’s Mac wrote with a GIF of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the iconic character.

“Tom Brady walks the runway for Gucci,” Dov Kleiman posted. “Brady should NOT be able to look this good at 48 years old… 6″4 and 225 pounds of pure muscle.”

Former Patriots receivers Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski’s podcast account, “Dudes on Dudes,” tweeted three goat emoji as a respectful nod to their former teammate. The three players played together in New England for eight years, winning three Super Bowls.

Reactions weren’t all good, though, as Brady’s deep foray into modeling didn’t sit well with some. The Boston Globe Pitchbot parody account was disappointed with what had become of the NFL legend, who was known for his ferociously competitive attitude.

“Look at what they’ve done to my boy,” they tweeted.

Brady’s first substantial modeling venture came in 2007, when he collaborated with Stetson cologne. From there, he became a prominent ambassador of leading brands, such as UGG, Under Armour, Aston Martin, and Movado.

In 2015, he signed a formal modeling deal with luxury menswear label Tag Heuer, appearing in numerous fashion campaigns.

Having been married to Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen, Brady is well-acquainted with the modeling world, and it’ll be interesting to see where his ventures in the business take him next.
