During her time on the stand, Jamila Adams, the “private chef,” was asked by the jury to describe her relationship with Diggs, prompting a response that set the tone for her testimony.
“I would say it’s complicated. We had started out as friends, we met. It started out as friends, became sexual. And we would meet up, hang out, and we decided I will come work for him, like, February of 2025,” she said, explaining how their connection evolved before becoming a working arrangement.
Her statement provides key context to the nature of their interactions, suggesting that their professional relationship developed after a period of personal involvement.

TMZ shared the clip of her testimony on X, and as per its report, the two first connected several years earlier through social media, when Diggs reached out to her about cooking. Over time, their interactions became more frequent, eventually leading to a job offer in early 2025.
She later moved into his residence, where she worked as his personal chef from mid-2025 through December of that year. During this period, she described their dynamic as “complicated.”
The courtroom testimony also touched on tensions within Diggs’ household. Per TMZ, the accuser claimed there were issues involving another woman, identified as Lindsay, who was also connected to Diggs in some capacity.
She stated she was unclear about Lindsay’s exact role but noted that Diggs provided financial support for her. According to her account, this situation created friction, particularly when questions arose about the “private chef’s” presence and responsibilities within the home.

The broader case centers on allegations that Diggs assaulted the accuser in December 2025 at his residence. Her testimony also reportedly included claims that Diggs confronted her amid ongoing tensions, which she linked to both personal disagreements and workplace issues.
“Adams stated the day of the alleged assault, she told Diggs she was upset she was not going to Art Basel… as she had been making plans with his girlfriend, Cardi B,” TMZ wrote in it’s report. “She went on to detail the alleged argument with Diggs that led to the physical altercation… and claimed she was so scared from it, she wet herself and was bleeding from her menstrual cycle.”
Diggs, appearing in court in a navy suit, has denied all charges, including assault and felony strangulation. His legal team is preparing to challenge the accuser’s account, with the trial reportedly expected to include testimony from law enforcement and individuals connected to the household.
With multiple testimonies still to come, the courtroom will continue to serve as the stage where both sides attempt to establish their narrative.
