Aryna Sabalenka, Naomi Osaka, Alexandra Eala, and Others Reach Spain Ahead of the Madrid Open

Sabalenka is the defending champion at the Madrid Open, as she clinched the title last season after defeating American star Coco Gauff. She also won the title in Madrid in 2021 after surpassing Australian star Ashleigh Barty, and in 2023, she took home the title after overcoming Polish sensation Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek in the final.

She has completed her Sunshine Double on a high note, clinching both titles. Apart from these, she also successfully defended her title at the Brisbane International and reached the Australian Open final.

In the Madrid Open’s recent X post, Sabalenka shared her thoughts on returning to La Caja Mágica, also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center, the tournament’s venue.

Along with this, the Minsk native was also seen enjoying a back-and-forth with her best friend, Badosa, during their practice session. Sabalenka mentioned warmly, “Hola, Madrid. I’m back. I’m super super happy to be back. What a wonderful tournament. Here you can see Paulita training. Come on, move your legs, girl. Accelerate more. What is that? Vamos, vamos. So yeah, I’m here and can’t wait to start playing. See you guys soon.”

The Filipino talent, Alexandra Eala, has also reached Spain after competing at the Linz Open and the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, where she lost in the round of 32 to Leylah Fernandez in straight sets. As Croatian star Donna Vekić shared a heartwarming glimpse through her Instagram story, adding, “@alex.eala FRIDAY.”
