Petra Kvitová became a mother for a second time after giving birth to a set of twin girls in late March 2026. In light of this, WTA players such as Sloane Stephens, Caroline Garcia, Garbiñe Muguruza, and Barbora Krejčíková, among others, expressed their love and congratulations to the former world No. 2.

Sloane Stephens, Caroline Garcia, and Others Send Love to Petra Kvitová Following the Birth of Twin Girls, Emma and Ella

Kvitová began working with her longtime coach, Jiří Vaněk, during the off-season in 2016. They later started dating and got engaged in June 2022, with Vaněk proposing to Kvitová at Wimbledon. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at a luxurious resort just outside Prague.

On Jan. 1, 2024, Kvitová announced her first pregnancy on social media. She gave birth to her and Vaněk’s son, Petr, on July 7, 2024.

In October 2025, the couple revealed that they were expecting again. Recently, the former world No. 2 announced the birth of their twin daughters, Emma and Ella, on March 30, 2026.

Reacting to Kvitová becoming a mother for the second time, players like Stephens, Garcia, Muguruza, Lucie Šafářová, Krejčíková, and Shelby Rogers, among others, extended their congratulations.

On the tennis side of things, Kvitová, who turned professional in 2006, won 31 WTA Tour-level singles titles, including two Grand Slam singles titles at the Wimbledon Championships in 2011 and 2014. In 2011, she defeated Maria Sharapova in the final, and in 2014, she triumphed over Eugenie Bouchard in the championship match. She also finished as the runner-up to Naomi Osaka at the 2019 Australian Open.

During her career, Kvitová achieved a high ranking of world No. 2 in October 2011. She claimed a bronze medal in singles for the Czech Republic at the 2016 Rio Olympics and won the WTA Finals in 2011 by defeating Victoria Azarenka in the final.

Kvitová was also part of the Czech Republic team that won the Fed Cup six times (in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018) and secured the Hopman Cup in 2012 by triumphing over Team France in the final. She retired from professional tennis after competing at the 2025 US Open.
