Coco Gauff’s parents, Candi and Corey Gauff, have been a strong support system for her following her heartbreaking loss in the final of the 2026 Miami Open. The former World No. 2’s mother, Candi, recently shared an inspiring message encouraging her to make a comeback after her defeat in Florida.

Candi Gauff Sends Inspiring Message to Coco After Miami Open Final Loss

Gauff, seeded fourth at the 2026 Miami Open, began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She defeated Elisabetta Cocciaretto in her opening match (3-6, 6-4, 6-3) and then eliminated Alycia Parks (3-6, 6-0, 6-1) and Sorana Cîrstea (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.

In the quarterfinals, Gauff overcame 12th seed Belinda Bencic (6-3, 1-6, 6-3), securing her spot in the final after triumphing over 13th seed Karolína Muchová (6-1, 6-1) in the semifinals. In the championship match, she faced top seed Aryna Sabalenka and lost 2-6, 6-4, 3-6.

After her runner-up finish at the WTA 1000 hard-court tournament in Florida, Gauff took to social media to express her emotional thoughts on the defeat.

Reacting to the post, her mother, Candi, her father, Corey, and her brother, Codey, all expressed their admiration for the effort the former world No. 2 put into the tournament.

Recently, Candi shared a picture of Gauff training on social media, accompanied by a bold and inspiring message. She encouraged the two-time singles Grand Slam champion to “silence” the noise and criticisms and to keep moving forward.

“Silence the noise and keep it moving!” Candi captioned her Instagram post.

Candi re-shared her post on Instagram stories, and Gauff’s father, Corey, also shared the post on his social media.

Looking ahead, Gauff will soon begin her run on the clay-court swing of the tour. She is expected to participate in the 2026 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, which will take place from April 11 to April 19, 2026. The matches will be played on the indoor clay courts at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany.

In addition to Gauff, players including Sabalenka, Jasmine Paolini, Anna Kalinskaya, Zheng Qinwen, Elina Svitolina, Mirra Andreeva, defending champion Jeļena Ostapenko, and former champions Elena Rybakina and Iga Świątek are also expected to compete at the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart.

Last year in Stuttgart, Gauff defeated lucky loser Ella Seidel 6-1, 6-1 in her opening match before falling to fifth seed Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinals 4-6, 3-6.
