Carlos Alcaraz Debuts Kangaroo Tattoo at Miami Open To Honor Australian Open Win

Carlos Alcaraz debuted his kangaroo tattoo at Miami Open practice, completing his collection of ink marking all four Grand Slams.

Alcaraz’s affinity for tattoos has long been evident, with the Spaniard often marking his Grand Slam triumphs through distinctive ink. That trend continued at the Miami Open, where he was spotted during a practice session sporting a fresh tattoo on the front of his lower left leg.

Carlos Alcaraz Spotted With a New Tattoo During Miami Open Practice To Commemorate Australian Open Triumph

Carlos Alcaraz made a phenomenal start to the 2026 season by winning the Australian Open, a crown that had long eluded him. The Spaniard navigated the draw impressively, including a commanding quarterfinal win over home favorite Alex de Minaur.

He then faced a stern challenge from Alexander Zverev, eventually prevailing in a grueling five-set battle.

Despite losing the first set 2-6 to Novak Djokovic, Alcaraz mounted a strong comeback and secured the next three 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 to win his seventh Grand Slam title. The triumph was indeed pivotal for the Spaniard, who had then expressed his desire to get a tattoo of a ‘little kangaroo’ in the near future.

The hint of the same recently emerged when Carlos Alcaraz shared a photo dump from his time at Indian Wells, the venue of his most recent campaign. The series captured several moments of the Spaniard enjoying his time in the California desert, but what also stood out was a glimpse of a new tattoo on his foot, the details of which remained unclear.

However, confirmation soon followed as Carlos Alcaraz was spotted practicing ahead of his Miami Open campaign. A distinctive tattoo was visible on the shin of his left leg, and on closer look, it appeared to be a kangaroo lifting the Australian Open trophy.

Carlos Alcaraz appears to have added the new tattoo to commemorate his 2026 Australian Open triumph. Here’s another look at it from the front.

As noted, Alcaraz’s most recent appearance was at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open, where his dominant run carried him to the semifinals, extending his 2026 winning streak to 16 matches.

However, the streak was eventually snapped by Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.
The world No. 1 would now look to win his third title of the season in Miami and has received a direct entry into the second round as the top seed. Alcaraz is awaiting the winner of the first round encounter between Joao Fonseca and Fabian Marozsan.
