Although Carlos Alcaraz fell short of lifting the BNP Paribas Open title, he appeared to make the most of his time in Indian Wells, as reflected in his recent photo dump. The Spaniard shared a series of snapshots capturing his experiences in the city, including moments spent with fellow stars Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev, while also hinting at a new tattoo.
Carlos Alcaraz Teases New Tattoo While Sharing Indian Wells Moments With Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev
Alcaraz enjoyed a strong start to the 2026 season, claiming titles at the Australian Open and the Qatar Open while building a 16-match winning streak. He arrived at the BNP Paribas Open as one of the top favorites and largely lived up to expectations, cruising through his matches in straight sets, except for his third-round win over Arthur Rinderknech, to reach the semifinals.
However, Daniil Medvedev proved to be a major roadblock for Alcaraz. The Russian took control early by claiming the opening set 6-3 and, despite facing resistance in the second, held his nerve to seal it 7-6(3). Relying on sharp, aggressive shot-making, Medvedev also snapped Alcaraz’s impressive streak.
Nonetheless, Alcaraz shared a mix of pictures and clips, capturing moments of him playing golf, taking in the scenic California backdrop, and enjoying a barbecue with his team as steaks, corn, zucchini, and asparagus sizzled on the grill.
He also included a glimpse of an on-court practice session, along with photos alongside world No. 3 Djokovic, world No. 4 Zverev, and his elder brother Álvaro Alcaraz Garfia. What also caught attention was the world No. 1 getting a tattoo on the bottom of his foot. You can check the post on his Instagram profile.

Alcaraz has repeatedly expressed his fondness for tattoos, most notably when he showcased designs of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge side by side to mark his sixth Grand Slam title after winning the US Open.

Notably, the Spaniard has made the tradition of marking his Major triumphs with tattoos, and he even expressed plans to get a tattoo of a ‘little kangaroo’ following his 2026 Australian Open triumph.
While Alcaraz and Zverev have received a direct entry into the second round on the virtue of being the seeded players, Djokovic has withdrawn from the Miami Open following a right shoulder injury he sustained after reaching the fourth round at Indian Wells.
