Świątek vs Muchová Head-to-Head
After five meetings, Świątek has a 4-1 lead in the head-to-head against Muchová. They last played at Indian Wells last year, where the Pole won convincingly, 6-1, 6-1.
Świątek will be looking for a third consecutive quarterfinal appearance in 2026 as the Pole reached the last eight in her previous two events at the Australian Open and at the Qatar Open. The Pole lost to Elena Rybakina in Melbourne, then to Maria Sakkari in Doha.
Muchová, on the other hand, has won 14 of the 16 matches she has played this year so far. The Czech player started her season with a semifinal run at the Brisbane International, where she lost to eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka. She had a decent run at the Australian Open as well, losing to Coco Gauff in the fourth round. However, her biggest result came at the Qatar Open, where she beat the likes of Karolina Pliskova, Anna Kalinskaya, and Maria Sakkari to reach the final, where she beat Victoria Mboko to win the most high-profile event of her career.
Świątek vs Muchová Prediction
Świątek has won 71% of her first serve points along with 53% of the second serve points in her couple of matches at Indian Wells this year. The Pole’s serve has looked vulnerable at times, as she has faced as many as 21 break points in two matches, 17 of which she has saved. She has done well on break point conversion, converting 10 of 15 break point opportunities.
Muchová has been stronger behind her first serve than her opponent, winning 81% of first-serve points in two matches, but is behind in second-serve points, winning 40%. She has been broken only once in two matches, while converting 9 of the 23 break-point opportunities.
Serving has been a real issue for Świątek in recent months, as evidenced by her two matches at Indian Wells. For her to get a win over an in-form Muchová, she needs to step up her first serve. On the other hand, Muchová needs to attack more in second-serve situations and be solid behind her own first serve.
The PFSN Simulator has given the Pole a 55% win probability, as she has a dominant head-to-head against the Czech player, and the one time they played at Indian Wells, it was a dominant victory for the former.
