Novak Djokovic and Wife Jelena React as Aryna Sabalenka Gets Engaged to Boyfriend Georgios

Novak Djokovic and his wife, Jelena, extended their congratulations to Aryna Sabalenka on her engagement to her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis.

Novak Djokovic and his wife, Jelena, recently expressed their love and congratulations to Aryna Sabalenka on her engagement to her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis.

Sabalenka and Frangulis were first pictured together during the 2024 Madrid Open and have been together since. Frangulis, a Brazilian entrepreneur of Greek heritage, is the founder of Oakberry, a global açaí superfoods brand that has grown into a multi-million-dollar franchise since its 2016 founding.

Novak Djokovic and His Wife Jelena Congratulate Aryna Sabalenka on Getting Engaged to Georgios Frangulis

Recently, Sabalenka took to social media and shared a video in which she is visibly surprised and emotional as Frangulis went down on one knee to propose.

He popped the question to the four-time singles Grand Slam champion on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. “You & me, forever ♾️ 3.3.26 💍 🤍,” Sabalenka captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to Sabalenka’s engagement, Djokovic sent his love to the couple with a comment featuring three red heart emojis. “❤️ ❤️ ❤️,” Djokovic commented.

Djokovic’s wife, Jelena, also congratulated Sabalenka and Frangulis on their engagement.

“Congratulations guys!!!! ❤️ 👏 👏 👏 👏,” Jelena wrote.

Last year, after Djokovic, Jelena, and their children, Stefan and Tara, permanently relocated to Athens due to political tensions in Serbia, they went on a double date with Sabalenka and Frangulis.

On the tennis side of things, Sabalenka and Djokovic are currently in California for the 2026 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. Both players are seeded in the tournament and will begin their campaigns in the second round after receiving first-round byes.

Sabalenka, the top seed at Tennis Paradise, will face either wild card Alycia Parks or qualifier Himeno Sakatsume in her opening match. The World No. 1 has not previously faced either player on the WTA Tour. The winner will advance to meet either the 29th seed Maya Joint, Janice Tjen, or Jaqueline Cristian in the third round of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Djokovic, seeded third at the 2026 Indian Wells Masters, will take on the winner of the first-round match between Kamil Majchrzak and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the second round. The 24-time singles Grand Slam champion has not faced either player previously on the ATP Tour.

The winner of this second-round match will advance to play against either 31st seed Corentin Moutet, Hubert Hurkacz, or Aleksandar Kovacevic in the third round of the tournament.
