Maxx Crosby has been linked to numerous trade rumors during the 2026 NFL offseason. The Las Vegas Raiders are currently rebuilding their roster, so their superstar defender may be flipped for future assets. One of his teammates recently chimed in on the growing speculations.
Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors Addressed by Raiders Teammate
Crosby has consistently ranked among the best pass rushers in the NFL during his career with the Raiders. This includes finishing in either first or second place among all edge players in PFSN’s Impact Rankings in four of the past five seasons.
His production on the football remains elite, but the rebuilding Raiders may be looking to cash in on him, theoretically for a massive package of draft picks.
His teammate, Raheem Mostert, recently shared his take on the swirling rumors that he will be traded to a new team during the 2026 NFL offseason.
“Knowing Maxx and everything that he brings to an organization, it’s tough to make that decision. He’s a very loyal guy, one of the most loyal guys that you could possibly have on your team…I know Mark Davis is in love with him, and everybody there loves him, but from the standpoint as a player, I’ve been there before. I’ve been on a losing team where it just didn’t work out, and sometimes you just have to think about that next step,” stated Mostert.
Only Myles Garrett, who broke the NFL single-season record with 23 sacks for the Cleveland Browns last year, finished higher than Crosby among all edge rushers in terms of their impact score.
This clearly demonstrates that he is still in the prime of his career and has shown no signs of regressing from being among the most elite players in his position any time soon.
The Raiders’ rebuild is the biggest reason they may consider trading him during the offseason, but Mostert explained how difficult it would be for them to let him go.
He referenced his leadership and how valuable a teammate he is, which has essentially made everyone around the franchise love having him on the team.
This puts the Raiders at a crucial point in their decision of what to do with Crosby. His contributions on and off the field are the best their roster has to offer, but this is also why he is easily their most valuable trade asset, one that would command the largest return package.
