Fifth-seeded Flavio Cobolli will take on Miomir Kecmanović in the semifinal of the 2026 Mexican Open. Cobolli has a 3-5 win-loss record for the season, with the Italian having a difficult start, including three successive opening-round exits in Melbourne, Montpellier, and Dallas. He got back to some form at the Delray Beach Open, where he reached the semifinal, losing to Sebastian Korda.
Kecmanović, on the other hand, has a 6-6 win-loss record with his run in Acapulco being his best of the season.

Cobolli vs Kecmanović Head-to-Head
Kecmanović has won his only match against Cobolli, 6-1, 6-2, in Naples back in 2022.
Cobolli started his campaign in Acapulco with a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3) win over local favorite Rodrigo Pacheco Méndez in the first round. The fifth seed had a routine 6-4, 6-4 win over Dalbor Svrčina in the second round.
Cobolli kept up his momentum when he faced Chinese qualifier Wu Yibing in the quarterfinals, who had caused a massive upset by beating third-seeded Casper Ruud in the first round. The Italian put up an impressive performance, winning 7-6 (4), 6-1 against the Chinese player.
Kecmanović, on the other hand, started his campaign with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 win over Tristane Schoolkate in the first round. The Serbian’s best performance came in the second round, when he upset the top seed, Alexander Zverev, winning 6-3, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4). He took that confidence in the quarterfinals, winning 6-3, 6-3 against Terence Atmane.
Cobolli vs Kecmanović Prediction
In his quarterfinal match against Wu, Cobolli won 67% of the service points and 36% of the return points. The Italian was dominant behind his first serve, winning 83% of points. He won 59% of the second-serve points, while saving all eight break points he faced on his serve. On break point conversion, he converted 2 of the 3 break point opportunities he got in the match.
Kecmanović was equally impressive on serve in his match against Atmane, winning 75% of the service points along with 47% of the return points. He did get broken once in the match, but broke his opponent’s serve four times in the whole match. He hit 17 winners in the match, while only making 7 unforced errors.
If hard court performances are to be considered, then Cobolli has reached only one final on the surface, losing to Sebastian Korda in the Washington final back in 2024. On the other hand, Kecmanović has reached two hard-court finals, both of which came at the Delray Beach Open, where he won the title last year with a win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final.
The Serbian player will be the slight favorite in the upcoming match, as he will have more confidence after beating Zverev and holds the head-to-head advantage over Cobolli.
Pick – Kecmanović to win in three sets
