Alexandra Eala and Amanda Anisimova were seen taking a break from tennis ahead of starting their campaign at the Sunshine Double. Both tennis stars were spotted spending their time at a beach ahead of the 2026 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

The 2026 BNP Paribas Open is scheduled for March 4 to March 15, 2026, with the main draw matches taking place on the outdoor hard courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. In addition to Eala and Anisimova, players like Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Świątek, Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, and defending champion Mirra Andreeva, among others, are expected to compete in the WTA 1000 tournament.

Amanda Anisimova and Alexandra Eala Share Beach Downtime Before BNP Paribas Open

Eala and Anisimova recently completed their Middle East swing at the 2026 Dubai Tennis Championships. The American, seeded second in the tournament, defeated Barbora Krejčíková, Janice Tjen, and Andreeva before losing to the eventual champion, Pegula, in the semifinals. Meanwhile, the Filipina advanced past Hailey Baptiste, Jasmine Paolini, and Sorana Cîrstea before being eliminated by Gauff in the quarterfinals.

Following their campaigns in Dubai, Eala and Anisimova enjoyed some downtime away from the sport. The 20-year-old was seen at the beach in a chic outfit, her hair styled down, posing in the sand.

Anisimova also took time away from tennis, posing at the beach with a little girl wearing a white T-shirt that had “Anisimova” written on it, along with a picture of the former world No. 3 in action.

This year, Eala will be making her main draw debut at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open. She is set to be seeded in the WTA 1000 hard-court tournament in California, thanks to her new career-high ranking of world No. 31 in singles, achieved after her quarterfinal finish at the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Meanwhile, in 2025, Anisimova was seeded 17th at the BNP Paribas Open and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She faced wild card Belinda Bencic in her opening match but lost with a score of 4-6, 7-6(3), 1-6.

Anisimova recorded her best result at Indian Wells in 2018. She received a wild card entry into the main draw and began her campaign with a victory over Pauline Parmentier (6-2, 6-2) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (6-4, 6-1) in the first and second rounds, respectively.

In the third round, she eliminated Petra Kvitová (6-2, 6-4) before being defeated by Karolína Plíšková (1-6, 6-7(2)) in the fourth round.
