Like the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion, Maribel is actively involved in sports. She studied Motor and Sports Sciences at the INEFC center in Barcelona and earned a master’s degree in sports management from Pompeu Fabra University. She began her career in the marketing and sales department at the Rafa Nadal Academy and now serves as its Commercial and Marketing Director. She is also involved with the operations of the Rafa Nadal Foundation.
Recently, Maribel shared a series of photos on social media showcasing her time at the wedding. In her posts, she included photos with family and friends. She was seen wearing a gorgeous black sequin cutout gown, carrying a matching black clutch, and completed her look with what appeared to be Yves Saint Laurent women’s platform sandals in black. Her hair was down, and her makeup was kept minimal.
“rosernadalj 🫶🏼 🫶🏼,” Maribel captioned her Instagram stories.

It’s worth noting that Maribel played a pivotal role in connecting Nadal with his future wife, Maria Francisca Perelló. The couple began dating in 2005 and married in October 2019. They welcomed their first son, Rafael Jr., in October 2022, and their second son, Miquel, was born in August 2025. The family resides in Mallorca, Spain.
On the tennis side, Nadal, regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, turned professional in 2001. Throughout his career, he won 92 ATP Tour singles titles, including 22 Grand Slam singles titles: 14 at the French Open, four at the U.S. Open, and two each at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
The Spaniard was ranked No. 1 in singles at the ATP World rankings and won two Olympic gold medals for Spain: one in singles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and one in doubles alongside fellow Spaniard Marc López at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, along with numerous other accolades. He secured his last ATP Tour singles title at the 2022 French Open by defeating Casper Ruud in the final. Nadal announced his retirement from professional tennis in November 2024 after representing Spain in the Davis Cup Finals.
