Doubt has a way of getting loud when the lights get brightest. For Cooper Kupp, the Super Bowl stage has become the perfect place to silence it.
After the Seattle Seahawks outlasted the New England Patriots to claim Super Bowl 60, Kupp didn’t need a long speech or a dramatic caption. Just two words were enough to say everything he’s been holding in.
Seahawks Star Cooper Kupp Sends 2-Word Message After Winning 2026 Super Bowl
In Super Bowl 60, Kupp was a steady part of the Seattle Seahawks’ passing game, finishing with 6 receptions for 61 yards, leading his team in both catches and receiving yards despite the defensive nature of the contest.
Although he didn’t find the end zone, his contributions helped move the chains and keep drives going. Ultimately, Seattle captured the title with a 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots, securing its second Super Bowl championship in franchise history.
But only Kupp knows that this is not just a journey from believing to achieving the biggest football trophy. It also involves a number of sacrifices and emotional struggles after leaving his former team, the Los Angeles Rams. With the “Believed” message, he slammed the Rams, who did not believe in him, and traded him to the Seahawks.
But after lifting the Lombardi trophy for the second time, he shared his emotions on social media with the two words: “Say LX”. But he did not stop there. As you can see in his post, Kupp has uploaded two pictures. The overlay text on one picture reads “Believed,” and Kupp has his head down, eyes closed. While the other picture shows him, his family with happy faces, with a clearly written text: “Achieved.”

Kupp’s career arc is reflected clearly in his numbers. He began with promise, recording 869 yards in 15 games as a rookie and reaching his first 1,000-yard season in 2019. Everything peaked in 2021, when he produced 1,947 yards, 145 receptions, and 16 touchdowns, then followed it up with 33 catches, 478 yards, and 6 playoff touchdowns on the way to Super Bowl MVP honors.
Since then, the numbers have declined sharply. Injuries limited him to nine games in 2022 with just over 800 yards, followed by 700-plus yards in both 2023 and 2024, signaling a painful fall from the top.
After the season, rather than trying to renegotiate a pay cut with the former All-Pro receiver, the Rams released Kupp, bringing a telling end to a once-iconic partnership.
Los Angeles urged him to retire, and L.A. officials cautioned potential suitors for the receiver against paying him anything more than the veteran minimum, suggesting his age and injury history caused a steep decline in his performance. And that’s why his social media post matters today.

A similar story goes with the Seahawks’ Star QB Sam Darnold. He was traded by the Minnesota Vikings to the Seahawks after a nine-sack playoff game.
When SiriusXM NFL Radio’s reporter asked what it means to win his first Lombardi Trophy. Darnold echoed what Kupp also said about the supporters: “Keep those that believe in you, and you know who those people are.”
In Kupp’s journey, one of the biggest supporters was his wife, Anna Kupp. They married in June 2015, long before NFL fame and national attention became part of their reality. From that point, she never left her behind. That is why the Super Bowl winner valued and believed she was a part of his victory.
