Christian Pulisic Told His Drop Off in Form Is Negatively Affecting Club by AC Milan Legend

Christian Pulisic has been enduring a sub-par run of form for AC Milan of late, with his last goal coming in December 2025.

United States men’s national team (USMNT) forward Christian Pulisic has cemented himself as one of Serie A’s best players since the start of the 2025-26 season. However, he has lately failed to replicate his initial run of good form at club level.

As a result, one legendary AC Milan defender has passed judgment on the USMNT ace.

Christian Pulisic Slows Down as AC Milan’s Attack Faces Growing Questions

In the first five months of the ongoing campaign, Pulisic emerged as a central figure for AC Milan with his clinical performances in front of goal. However, his displays have been below par of late, with his last goal coming against Hellas Verona on Dec. 28.

The former Chelsea star’s dip in form has also coincided with the Rossoneri dropping points in the league over the last four weeks. The 27-year-old’s club has drawn three of its last six Serie A games, leaving it five points behind leaders Inter Milan. As a result, AC Milan legend Alessandro Costacurta has highlighted that Pulisic’s poor run of form is proving detrimental to his club’s ongoing Serie A title charge.

“Milan must wait for those three or four players to improve their performances, especially in attack. I’m talking about Rafael Leao, but also Christian Pulisic, who started well but is not feeling well now,” he said on Sky Italia’s Calciomercato L’Originale.

Costacurta, who made a whopping 663 overall appearances for the Rossoneri from 1986 to 2007, concluded, “(Christopher) Nkunku also needs to give a little more. I think Milan are hoping the players up front improve their individual performances.”

Pulisic, who has not registered an assist for his club since Nov. 23, has started 12 of his 20 appearances across competitions for the Massimiliano Allegri-coached club this season. He has contributed 10 goals and two assists for his side so far this term.

Meanwhile, transfer insider Matteo Moretto has revealed that AC Milan is keeping tabs on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of the summer transfer window.

“Allegri really likes him and the management really likes him too. But right now, there are no signatures for Dusan Vlahovic at Milan, and there are no advanced negotiations for him at Milan. There is a certain level of approval, but it’s also worth considering that the deal, considering salary and commissions, is still quite expensive,” he said.

Should Vlahovic secure a switch to the San Siro outfit this summer, he could prove to be an excellent signing. He would likely be a perfect fit for Allegri’s 3-5-2 system and offer decent competition to the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez.
