Jaden Ivey, Mike Conley Jr., Kevin Huerter, and Dario Saric are bracing for new chapters in their respective NBA careers after the latest multi-team trade involving the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and Chicago Bulls.
How much are the four players making with their current contracts in the league? All of them stand out for being free agents entering the 2026 offseason.
Jaden Ivey, Mike Conley Jr., Kevin Huerter, and Dario Saric Contract Details
Ivey is in the final year of his four-year rookie contract that he signed in July 2022 after the Pistons selected him fifth overall in that year’s NBA draft. He is making $10,107,163 throughout the 2025-26 NBA campaign and will become a restricted free agent in the offseason, per Rotowire.
Conley is also in the last year of his contract. He previously signed a two-year, $21 million extension with the Timberwolves in July 2024, after reaching the Western Conference Finals that season. He is earning up to $10,774,038 this year, as he may enter free agency or consider retirement at age 38.
Huerter is nearing the end of his four-year, $65 million contract extension, which he signed with the Atlanta Hawks in October 2021. He is making $17,991,071 this year before becoming an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
Last but not least, Saric is in the second year of his two-year contract, which he signed in the 2024 offseason with the Denver Nuggets. The team later sent him to the Sacramento Kings, who traded him to the Chicago Bulls on Feb. 1. Two days later, he is now with the Pistons. This season, he is earning $5,426,400 as he becomes a free agent in the summer.
The full trade saw the Pistons land Huerter and Saric from the Bulls, along with a pick swap from Minnesota. On the other hand, the Bulls acquired Ivey from Detroit, Conley from Minnesota. The Timberwolves seemingly created cap space, which may foreshadow a bigger move ahead of the trade deadline.
“Bulls and Pistons have desires met here in a young and veteran guards to Chicago, and a sharpshooter goes to Detroit. Minnesota creates significant tax savings and roster space as they pursue a Milwaukee star this week,” ESPN’s NBA insider Shams Charania wrote in his announcement of the trade on Feb. 3.
The Pistons are enjoying an incredible season as one of the best-performing teams in the NBA. They control the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings, enjoying All-Star caliber years from Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren.
The Bulls are making roster adjustments as they focus on playoff contention while building their future. They sit in the middle of the East standings, in play-in tournament territory.
As for the Timberwolves, they are in the mix for a playoff spot as one of the more solid squads in the league. Superstar Anthony Edwards continues to make strides in his game as Minnesota hopes to make a deep playoff run for the third consecutive year.
