Carlos Alcaraz’s Argument About Roof During Australian Open Final

The roof at the Rod Laver Arena was partly open at the start of the match, with the conditions being cool and windy. However, it later got closed more than it initially was due to the possibility of rain. This did not please Alcaraz and he made his frustrations known on it following the conclusion of the set. The World No. 1 argued with the officials about the same before play resumed.

Alcaraz and Djokovic are locking horns for the tenth time, with their head-to-head currently being 5-4 in the Serb’s favor. The 24-time Grand Slam champion won the last time they faced in the Australian Open, beating him in the quarterfinals in four sets. However, Alcaraz has triumphed each time the two squared off in a Major final.

Djokovic started the match brilliantly and won the opening set 6-2 before Alcaraz picked up pace and won the second by the same margin to level the match. Both players have produced some high quality entertaining tennis so far, and the crowd at the Rod Laver Arena can expect themselves to be mesmerized even more.

Djokovic and Alcaraz are both chasing history, with the Serb clinching a record 25th Grand Slam singles title if he wins the match. If Alcaraz wins, he will become the youngest-ever player to win the Career Grand Slam.
