Arsenal and Manchester United were both recently involved in an emphatic Premier League match, which ended in a 3-2 Red Devils win. And the pair are reportedly set to battle it out in the transfer race to sign a promising Bundesliga winger.
Arsenal and Manchester United Hoping To Sign 19-Year-Old Winger
According to Sports Boom, Arsenal and Manchester United are both currently keeping close tabs on TSG Hoffenheim star Bazoumana Touré. The Premier League clubs sent their scouts to monitor the player’s performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Touré, who netted twice in three outings for the Ivory Coast at the recently held AFCON, is said to be viewed as a future Ballon d’Or winner at Hoffenheim. As a result, the 19-year-old star has been slapped with a price tag in the region of $66 million by his club.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be on the lookout for a new backup to Bukayo Saka and has earmarked Touré as a transfer target. On the other hand, the Red Devils feel they are in need of a pacy winger and could solidify their interest in Touré soon.
After leaving Swedish side Hammarby for $12 million in the winter of 2025, Touré recorded three assists in 13 total games for Hoffenheim in the 2024-25 season. So far this term, the left-footed star has produced two goals and five assists in 17 total club outings.
The four-cap Ivory Coast international has a contract until June 2029Â at his current club.

Meanwhile, ex-Gunners attacker Theo Walcott has asserted he is confident about his former club winning the Premier League this term despite losing their recent league clash.
“They’ve lost only three games all season. They hadn’t lost for a long period of time. It was a completely different Manchester United team… that’s no excuse. I wouldn’t be panicking at all… no, because they have been in this position before. People are saying that they are struggling now… it’s one game,” Walcott recently told DR Sports.
The former England star added, “They’re top and top for a reason… because they’re doing something right. The only problem for Arsenal is they’ve not won anything. Those other teams have that experience of winning, Manchester City and Liverpool. Arsenal are in four competitions still and I’m very, very comfortable that they will still win this league.”
The Gunners, who are leading the 2025-26 Premier League table by four points, are set to face Leeds United in a league encounter at Elland Road on Saturday, Jan. 31.
