Jessica Pegula recently revealed that her husband, Taylor Gahagen, loves managing her player’s box during matches, often arriving well before everyone else to make sure everything is perfectly in place. His hands-on approach not only keeps things running smoothly but also ensures no one shows up late, a habit Pegula admitted she absolutely can’t stand.
Jessica Pegula Explains How Her Husband Taylor Gahagen Manages Her Player’s Box
Pegula and Taylor Gahagen’s relationship grew out of their mutual passion for business and community-driven initiatives. The two were linked publicly in 2015, and after several years together, they got married in a lavish ceremony at North Carolina’s iconic Biltmore Estate in 2021.
A New York native, Gahagen attended Williamsville North High School before pursuing a degree in business administration at SUNY Fredonia. He also pursued an MBA at Canisius College, further strengthening his professional grounding. Gahagen previously held senior leadership positions within Pegula Sports and Entertainment, the sports and entertainment conglomerate owned by Jessica Pegula’s billionaire parents, Terry and Kim Pegula.
He has since transitioned into the finance and investment space, working as a managing partner at both Agarwood Wealth and Dragos Capital. Beyond their professional lives, the duo are actively involved in charitable efforts through an NGO called A Lending Paw, which rescues and trains service dogs. Gahagen also serves as vice president of Pegula’s skincare venture, Ready 24.
While Gahagen remains deeply committed to his professional pursuits, he is equally hands-on in supporting his wife on tour, often taking charge of her player box during matches. On a recent episode of the Player’s Box Podcast, Pegula explained:
“Can’t be late, I hate when people are late. Taylor, my husband, has made it his job, he is like the manager of the box. He’s just tried to like, somehow he loves that. And yeah, he is like ‘I’m going to go get there early and like make sure everything’s okay,” she said.
Pegula noted that at smaller tournaments, keeping her player box organized can be tricky, as guests often misunderstand whether their badge or ticket grants entry, which her husband helps manage.
“Because sometimes I will say, not so much at the Slams, but maybe at smaller tournaments, people get tickets and it gets confusing and sometimes you get that like one user that doesn’t understand or you get a person that comes in and thought maybe their badge gets them into the box, but then they need to go get a ticket,” she said.
“There seems to always be something that kind of goes wrong, but for some reason that might just be a Taylor problem. But I will say being on time. You can’t just be like shuffling through, you know in the middle of the match. You got to commit,” she concluded.
On the tennis front, World No. 6 Pegula is aiming to go deeper at the 2026 Australian Open. She has reached the semifinals after a convincing 6-2, 7-6(1) victory against compatriot Amanda Anisimova. She faces Elena Rybakina for a place in the final.
