NHL Rumors: Panthers’ Sam Reinhart Splashes $9,000,000 on Former Inter Miami’s Star’s Mansion

Panthers star Sam Reinhart grabs headlines off the ice after purchasing a $9 million waterfront mansion previously owned by Inter Miami legend Sergio Busquets.

Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart is making headlines away from the rink this time. The veteran winger recently made a major real estate move. He purchased a luxury waterfront mansion previously owned by Inter Miami and FC Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets for $9 million.

Inside Sam Reinhart’s $9.8M Lakefront Home in Sea Ranch Lakes

Reinhart and his wife, Jessica Jewel, wrapped up the deal on the Seneca Road property just three months after it hit the market at $9.8 million. The home was sold through Busquets’ company, Buga USA LLC. It quickly drew buzz thanks to its prime waterfront setting, expansive layout, and famous previous owner.

Completed in 2023, the modern single-family home spans roughly 7,100 square feet on a 0.34-acre lot. It features seven bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. And an impressive 100 feet of direct frontage on Lake Seneca. It makes it one of the standout residences in the neighborhood.

The home sits in Sea Ranch Lakes, an ultra-private, gated community just outside Fort Lauderdale. The small village covers about 0.2 square miles, has fewer than 200 homes, and even runs its own police department and mayor’s office. Residents also have access to a private beach club.

The mansion was previously owned by Sergio Busquets. He bought it in 2023 for $8.7 million. He is one of the greatest defensive midfielders in soccer. He spent most of his career with FC Barcelona. He later joined Inter Miami in 2023, where he became teammates with Lionel Messi. Busquets officially retired from professional soccer in December.

Reinhart Stays Hot as Panthers Reenter Playoff Race

While Reinhart is getting comfortable in his new place off the ice, he hasn’t missed a beat on it. Coming off back-to-back Stanley Cup wins. He is now in year two of his eight-year, $69 million deal with Florida and continues to be a major part of the team’s core.

He’s been productive again this season. He recorded 50 points in 51 games and served as one of Florida’s most dependable players. The Panthers had a slow start. But their play has started to trend in the right direction. They currently sit third from the bottom in the Atlantic Division at 28-20-3. But have rattled off three straight wins. It was capped by an impressive 5-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

With that surge, the Panthers have worked their way back into the playoff conversation and now sit just four points out of a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Panthers will try to keep the momentum going when they face Utah on Tuesday night.
