The NFL All-Pro teams have been announced. While many deserving players were honored, several fans and former NFL player Richard Sherman were shocked that the Carolina Panthers’ cornerback, Jaycee Horn, was left off the list.
Richard Sherman Reacts to Jaycee Horn’s Absence From All-Pro Teams
It’s that time of the year again when the annual All-Pro teams recognize the efforts of some of the best NFL players over the 18-week regular season. Being honored is no small feat, as it often leads to contract incentives and bonuses. Additionally, it also makes a player’s resume look much stronger.
This year, several standout players, from Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams to Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, were recognized as the best at their respective positions. However, the former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Sherman questioned the All-Pro voting process, wondering whether voters still appreciate ball production.
“I wish I could hear the explanation of some of these ALL-Pro voters. Usually it’s pretty obvious but the lack of appreciation for ball production is starting to get concerning. It’s not all about stats but I would be interested to hear the logical arguments made,” Sherman wrote on X.

Sherman was also unhappy that Panthers CB Horn was absent from the All-Pro teams. Horn recorded 37 tackles and 5 interceptions this season, leading Sherman and many others to believe he deserved recognition for his performances.
“I’m not really sure how @jayceehorn_ isn’t an ALL-Pro this year. That’s the one for me,” Sherman wrote on X.

Horn signed a four-year, $100 million contract extension last year, which includes $70 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid defensive back in the league. Currently, he and his team are preparing for a Wild Card clash with the Rams.
Panthers vs. Rams Preview
The Panthers and Rams are set to kick off the NFL Wild Card Round on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Bank of America Stadium. Fans can tune in to Fox at 4:30 p.m. EST to catch the action live.
The Panthers enter the game as the fourth seed with an 8-9 record and will face one of the most dominant teams this season, the Rams, who finished the regular season 12-5 and earned the fifth seed in the NFC playoff picture.
Horn, who performed well throughout the regular season and earned a 76.8 score on PFSN’s CB Impact metric, failed to secure a spot on the All-Pro teams. However, it will be interesting to see if he can help his team win this crucial postseason battle and make a statement after the snub.
