It is crunch time in the United Cup and Brisbane International, with the business end of the two tournaments upon us. Several exciting matches are in store for fans on Friday, including a rematch of last year’s Australian Open women’s singles final.
Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys will lock horns in what should be a captivating Brisbane International quarterfinal. Also taking to the courts on Friday will be the likes of Iga Swiatek, Alex de Minaur, Elena Rybakina, and Daniil Medvedev.
Brisbane International Day 6 Schedule
Both men’s and women’s singles quarterfinals will take place in the Brisbane International on Friday, with the Sabalenka vs. Keys set to be the headliner. The American will hope for a repeat of her shock win in the 2025 Australian Open final. But the World No. 1 is in excellent form at the moment and will be the favorite to come out on top.
Starting proceedings on the Pat Rafter Arena will be Elena Rybakina, who appears to be in fine form on the back of her WTA Finals triumph. She will face the 11th seed Karolina Muchova. Jessica Pegula and Liudmila Samsonova will collide in the third women’s singles quarterfinal. While Marta Kostyuk will hope to build on her impressive win over Amanda Anisimova as she battles Mirra Andreeva.
In the men’s singles, top seed Daniil Medvedev will face Kamil Majchrzak in the night game on the Pat Rafter Arena. Meanwhile, Raphael Collignon’s reward for his win over Grigor Dimitrov is a quarterfinal clash against Brandon Nakashima. Compatriots Sebastian Korda and Alex Michelsen will collide in the third quarterfinal. While Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard will take on Aleksandar Kovacevic.
