Russian icon Maria Sharapova has once again taken to the court, as she recently shared glimpses from her practice session, emphasising the importance of engaging in physical activity and staying hydrated. The former World No. 1 has successfully cemented her legacy in the sport by joining the ranks of other legends in the International Tennis Hall of Fame, the honor that took place during a ceremony in August of this year.
Maria Sharapova Enjoys Her Session While Sharing a Health-Conscious Message
The Nyagan, Russian SFSR, native who ended her decorated career five years ago, has recently returned for a practice session, highlighting the significance of being active and playing. In the caption, with a backdrop of her session, she added, “The best 30 minutes for the brain 🧠. No distractions. Just you, your eyes and the ball.”
In the next glimpse, she shared a selfie, looking sweaty and exhausted, while wearing a grey undershirt and a black Nike jacket, highlighting the prominence of hydration: “Water breaks are highly recommended 👍.”
During her career, Sharapova won 36 WTA Tour singles titles, including five Grand Slam titles, and is one of the most widely recognised tennis players of all time. Apart from these feats, she has also won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the singles category.
Her desire and determination to succeed highly on the court have also led to her success in the business industry, as she has become a promising businesswoman with her multiple endeavours. She stepped into the world with her own confectionery brand company, Sugarpova, in 2012, achieving positive outcomes.
She had also invested in a sunscreen brand, Supergoop, and in a wellness brand, Therabody. Apart from this, other brands that Sharapova has invested in are Moonpay, Clio Snacks, UFC, Tonal, and Public.com. In April 2022, the Russian also became a member of the Board of Directors of Moncler, a high-end Italian luxury brand.

During her discussion at the Women’s Empowerment Council convention in Dubai last year, the icon shared how she transitioned from tennis to business: “The entrepreneurial space was a very natural evolution of being an athlete. The decisions and teamwork that you face as an athlete very much flow into the world of business and entrepreneurship. She continued, “So I started setting up foundations in business early on, and that really helped shape my thoughts and perspective, and also teach me because I learned from amazing brand partners that I worked with.”
Apart from these endeavours, Sharapova has also starred in movies and American television series, including Billions, Ocean’s 8, and Shark Tank.
