Frances Tiafoe Reunites With WTA Star and Daniil Medvedev Hits the Court Ahead of Brisbane International

Frances Tiafoe struggled to find his best form in 2025, ending the season with a 26–23 record and no titles. In 2026, however, the American will be eager to reverse that trend and climb back up the rankings. He will kick off his season at the Brisbane International, aiming for a strong start ahead of the Australian Open.

The World No. 30 recently found himself in a light-hearted moment after being spotted carrying a bag of laundry along with his tennis gear.

As Tiafoe headed for the practice with a laundry bag in hand, he crossed paths with home favorite and World No. 80 Ajla Tomljanović. After greeting him, the Australian couldn’t help but notice the bag and remarked, “How much to do your laundry?”

“Ah, it is such a disgrace. It totally is,” Tiafoe replied.

Tomljanović was seemingly in stitches as she walked back and remarked, “That’s hilarious! He already had a bag of laundry that’s dirty.”

Meanwhile, former US Open champion and Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev will also aim to leave his mark in Brisbane. He arrives at the tournament after a somewhat topsy-turvy run in 2025, producing a 41–23 win–loss record, winning an ATP 250 title in Almaty, and ending the season as the World No. 13.

In addition, a runner-up finish at the ATP 500 event in Halle stood out as another key highlight of his season.

The Brisbane International will be played from January 4 to 11, with Czech star Jiri Lehecka entering the event as a defending champion.
