Week 17 is now in the books. While many are focused on the race for the 2025 postseason, some teams are waiting to see what draft position they secure in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders went head-to-head in Week 17, and it was practically a battle of losers for the first overall pick, with both teams entering the contest at 2-13. Which Team Has the Best Chance To Land the Top Pick?
PFSN’s Playoff Predictor isn’t just a one-stop destination for everything related to the NFL’s playoff bracket. It also serves as an accurate indicator of how things will shape out for the rest of the NFL as the season progresses.
Following the action in Week 17, only three teams have a chance to clinch the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. With the Raiders losing to the Giants, Las Vegas has a 74.5% chance to get the No. 1 pick with a loss in Week 18, dropping them to 2-15.

Next comes the Giants with a 25.2% chance. Many would think their head-to-head victory would eliminate an opportunity to jump the Raiders. However, if the Giants lose to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18 and the Raiders can beat the Kansas City Chiefs, the Giants would clinch the No. 1 overall pick based on a strength of schedule.
However, there is a way for the New York Jets to still clinch the No. 1 seed in the 2026 NFL Draft. With the Philadelphia Eagles taking down the Buffalo Bills 13-12, the Jets are still mathematically alive. They need a Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams win in Week 17, along with wins from the Bears, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, and New England Patriots
