The fantasy football season is over. Congratulations to all of the winners out there, but there’s one more week in the NFL season. If you have something on the line this week for whatever reason, let’s take a look at the top Week 18 waiver wire targets and pickups that fantasy managers should consider adding to their rosters.
As always, all players are rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues.
Malik Willis, QB, Green Bay Packers
Rostered: 2%
Malik Willis posted 31.5 fantasy points last week. He threw for 288 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 60 yards and two more on the ground. Willis absolutely would be on the QB1 radar in Week 18…
Unfortunately, the Green Bay Packers are locked into the No. 7 seed. Head coach Matt LaFleur already said he’s resting key players.
Typically, that would mean Willis gets a chance to start in place of Jordan Love. However, Willis is dealing with a shoulder injury of his own. It’s probably more important for LaFleur to ensure that Willis is as healthy as possible than to give him a start in a game that doesn’t matter.
Expect it to be Clayton Tune in Week 18, making Willis unhelpful for fantasy managers.
Audric Estimé, RB, New Orleans Saints
Rostered: 11%
As it turns out, the Week 16 Taysom Hill usage was, in fact, because it was his last home game. The Saints ran a much more normal offense in Week 17, and Audric Estimé benefited.
Serving as the lead back, Estimé carried the ball 13 times for 97 yards and a touchdown. With the Saints in evaluation mode, there’s no reason not to expect more of the same from this backfield next week.
Chris Brooks, RB, Green Bay Packers
Rostered: 0%
You probably don’t want any players on a team not trying to win. But if you need a warm body, Chris Brooks is likely in line to get the start in Week 18 with the Packers resting key players. I would imagine Emanuel Wilson would be included amongst the guys who get the day off. That puts Brooks in line for a volume role, which is worth…something.
Malik Davis, RB, Dallas Cowboys
Rostered: 2%
Javonte Williams has been dealing with a neck/shoulder injury for a couple of weeks now. It knocked him out of the Cowboys’ Christmas Day game in the first half.
After Williams left, Malik Davis took over the lead back and role and carried the ball 20 times for 103 yards.
There’s no reason to push Williams to play at less than 100% in Week 18. If he can’t go, Davis will see all the work he can handle.
Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Detroit Lions
Rostered: 6%
Somehow, Isaac TeSlaa has hit double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five. He’s done this because in each of those games, he’s scored a touchdown. The rookie has an absurd six touchdowns on 15 receptions.
The Detroit Lions have nothing to play for in Week 18. Amon-Ra St. Brown aggravated his knee injury on the final drive last week. He’s not going to play. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lions rested a number of other key players in a meaningless game.
This puts TeSlaa in at least the WR2 role, if not the WR1 role. Hopefully, Jared Goff is still his quarterback. Regardless, TeSlaa should be in line for his heaviest usage of the season.
Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Rostered: 37%
The Jacksonville Jaguars will have something to play for in Week 18. That means we will get the starters.
Parker Washington isn’t just a product of volume. He’s legitimately talented. He’s now posted consecutive games with at least 115 receiving yards and should be viewed as the Jaguars’ clear WR2 ahead of Brian Thomas Jr.
The matchup could not be easier against a Titans pass funnel defense that Trevor Lawrence should destroy. Washington is at least a WR3.
Jalen McMillan, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rostered: 2%
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are losers of four straight. Yet, somehow, they still have a chance to win the NFC South. All they have to do is overcome the Carolina Panthers. That means they will be trying.

Jalen McMillan has easily overtaken Emeka Egbuka as the Bucs WR3. He caught seven of nine targets for 114 yards against the Dolphins. While McMillan will still be hard to trust, there’s more upside with him than Egbuka.
Michael Mayer, TE, Las Vegas Raiders
Rostered: 12%
Michael Mayer has been excellent all season in games where Brock Bowers doesn’t play. That trend continued in Week 17 with the veteran tight end racking up 89 yards on nine receptions.
The Raiders’ WR1 is currently Tre Tucker. Tyler Lockett scored their lone touchdown against the Giants. There is no alpha in this passing game.
Mayer saw a ton of first-read targets, and the passing attack was built around him. It’s not a great passing attack, but volume is king. Mayer is a TE1 in Week 18.
