The 2025 World Tennis League took place from December 17 to December 20, 2025, at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium in Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. The event featured four teams: Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, and Kites.
Team Kites, comprising Nick Kyrgios, Marta Kostyuk, Dhakshineswar Suresh, and Ankita Raina, won the title by defeating Team Eagles, which included Monfils, Badosa, Sumit Nagal, and Shrivalli Bhamidipaty.
Following their finish as the runners-up in the World Tennis League, Monfils took to social media to share several pictures of himself with his teammates. He also posted photos of iconic landmarks in Bengaluru, including the Bengaluru Palace, Vidhana Soudha, and Lalbagh Botanical Garden.

“Great friend! 🙌 💃 🤝,” Badosa commented (translated from Spanish).
“@paulabadosa 🔥 🕺🏾,” Monfils replied.

Badosa ended her 2025 tennis season prematurely after competing in the China Open, citing chronic back pain. She won her opening match against Antonia Ružić but had to retire from her third-round match against Karolína Muchová due to a left hip injury.
On the other hand, Monfils’ last ATP tournament of the 2025 season was the Chengdu Open. There, he faced Alexander Shevchenko in the first round but had to retire from their match during the third set after suffering a painful fall.
