The Baltimore Ravens have made the playoffs in 12 of the previous 17 seasons under head coach John Harbaugh. The perennial AFC contenders entered the 2025-26 season with sky-high expectations. However, their playoff outlook is now in doubt in what was considered a championship-or-bust campaign.
Baltimore entered Week 16 with a 7-7 record, but suffered a crucial loss to the New England Patriots. It has been a disappointing season, but the Ravens still have a path to reach the postseason.
What Are the Baltimore Ravens’ Chances of Making the Playoffs?
It has been a turbulent season for the Ravens. Led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, Baltimore entered the year as a popular pick to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LX. But a sluggish start quickly cast doubt on those lofty expectations.
The Ravens were dealt a tough opening slate, facing the Bills, Chiefs, Lions, Rams, and Texans. They stumbled into their Week 7 bye at 1-5, with their lone victory coming against the Cleveland Browns.
The injury bug hit the Ravens’ locker room hard early in the year, with setbacks to several key players, including Jackson, Nnamdi Madubuike, and Ar’Darius Washington, who tore his Achilles tendon during the offseason.
As frustration and anxiety grew among fans fearing a lost season, the Ravens seemed to find their footing, rattling off five consecutive victories after the bye. Climbing to 6-5 rekindled hope that Baltimore could salvage its year. That optimism took a hit with back-to-back losses to the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers in Weeks 13 and 14.

It has been a down year for the AFC North, a division that usually ranks among the NFL’s best. However, because division winners receive an automatic bid into the postseason, the Steelers and Ravens remain alive in the playoff picture. Pittsburgh is still ahead of Baltimore, but there is plenty of football left to be played.
Per PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, after their loss in Week 16, the Ravens now have a 7.60% chance of reaching the postseason and winning the AFC North. Not only that, but Jackson also got hurt against the Patriots and could miss time.

Pittsburgh’s win over the Detroit Lions earlier today has made things tougher for the Ravens, and Baltimore will require a lot of luck to save their season.
Ravens Remaining 2025 Schedule
- Week 17: Ravens at Packers
- Week 18: Ravens at Steelers
According to PFSN’s Strength of Schedule metric, the Ravens face the 10th-most difficult remaining schedule over the final three weeks of the season. Beyond their matchup with the Steelers, Baltimore must also face another Super Bowl contender in the Packers.
With every contest carrying significant postseason implications, the Ravens’ final two games will serve as a true test of their resilience, regardless of whether they reach the playoffs.
