Paula Badosa, Daniil Medvedev, Nick Kyrgios, and Others Arrive in India for the 2025 World Tennis League

For the first time, the World Tennis League will be held in India. The event will take place from December 17 to December 20, 2025, and the matches will be held at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium in Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. 16 players are competing in the tournament, divided into four teams: Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, and Kites.

Team Eagles will include Badosa, Gaël Monfils, Sumit Nagal, and Shrivalli Bhamidipaty. Team Falcons will consist of Medvedev, Rohan Bopanna, Magda Linette, and Sahaja Yamalapalli. The Team Hawks will be comprised of Svitolina, Denis Shapovalov, Yuki Bhambri, and Maaya Rajeshwaran. Finally, Team Kites will feature Kyrgios, Marta Kostyuk, Dhakshineswar Suresh, and Ankita Raina.

Ahead of their campaigns at the 2025 World Tennis League, players such as Svitolina, Kyrgios, Medvedev, Bopanna, Kostyuk, and Linette participated in pre-tournament photo shoots and video shoots, signed t-shirts for fan memorabilia, and engaged in various promotional activities.

Meanwhile, Badosa was seen arriving at the hotel and receiving a warm welcome from the staff.

At the 2025 World Tennis League, all four teams will compete against each other in a round-robin format. Each tie will consist of one men’s singles match, one women’s singles match, and two doubles sets, which could include men’s doubles, women’s doubles, or mixed doubles. Following the round-robin rounds, the top two teams will face off in the final on December 20, 2025.

This year, the schedule for the mixed-gender team exhibition tennis event is as follows:

– On the opening day, Dec. 17, 2025, the matches will feature Hawks vs. Kites and Falcons vs. Eagles.

– The next day, Dec. 18, 2025, will have Eagles facing Kites and Falcons going up against Hawks.

– On Dec. 19, 2025, the Eagles will take on the Hawks, while the Falcons will compete against the Kites.

– The final bout will take place on Dec. 20, 2025.

Among all the players competing in the 2025 World Tennis League, only Medvedev and Shapovalov have previous experience winning the event. In 2023, Medvedev claimed the title representing Team Eagles, while Shapovalov won the exhibition tournament in 2024 as a member of Team Falcons.
