Shelton, meanwhile, enjoyed a solid 2025 campaign, finishing the season with a 40–24 win–loss record and capturing the first Masters 1000 title of his career in Toronto. The American also climbed to a career-high World No. 5 and secured qualification for the ATP Finals in Turin. However, a moment captured in a clip that later surfaced online quickly drew attention. The footage shows the newlyweds dancing on the floor before turning their backs to toss the bouquet into the crowd, unaware of who would catch it. Traditionally, catching the bride’s bouquet carries symbolic meaning, as it is believed to bring good fortune in love and suggests that the unmarried woman who catches it may be the next to marry.

Incidentally, Rodman stepped forward and caught the bouquet tossed by her teammate. Clearly delighted, she leapt in celebration before embracing the newlyweds. Rodman then caught Shelton’s attention as he stood nearby with friends, drew him closer, and appeared to reveal what had just unfolded.
