Naomi Osaka Shows Off Her Stunning Leather Fit While Spending Time in New York

After her campaign in Japan, Osaka enjoyed time away from the sport during her off-season. She returned to the court to participate in two exhibition events in the United States: the 2025 Atlanta Cup and the Garden Cup.

Recently, Osaka took to social media and shared a series of pictures from a day spent in New York City, highlighting her experience traveling on the NYC subway, visiting a bookstore, and more. She was seen wearing the black Conan faux leather jacket from The Frankie Shop, priced at approximately $495.

The four-time Grand Slam champion also sported UGG X Sacai beige thigh-high leather boots, featuring suede and shearling. The shoe has a rounded toe and has a price tag of around $1,000. She accessorized with what looked like Moscot Zogan spectacles in black crystal, which retail for $340.

Osaka also carried a Louis Vuitton Papillon handbag from the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collaboration, adorned with cherry blossom motifs on the iconic monogram-coated canvas. Osaka became a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador in January 2021, signing a multi-year, seven-figure deal with the luxury brand, and has since been spotted using various LV products.

“You can take the girl out of New York but you can’t take the New York out of the girl ❤️,” Osaka captioned her Instagram post.

This year, Osaka secured one title, winning the 2025 L’Open 35 de Saint-Malo. She also finished as the runner-up at the 2025 ASB Classic and the Canadian Open and advanced to the semifinals at the US Open.

Osaka to Next Compete at the 2026 United Cup

Osaka was scheduled to start her 2026 season at the ASB Classic, where she finished as the runner-up to Clara Tauson in 2025. However, she has withdrawn from the WTA 250 hard-court tournament and will instead represent Japan in the United Cup in Australia.

The United Cup will take place from Jan. 2 to Jan. 11, 2026, at the RAC Arena in Perth and the Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney. Team Japan is in Group E, alongside Team Great Britain and Team Greece, with their matches set to take place in Perth. This will be Team Japan’s debut at the mixed-gender team tennis event.

In addition to Osaka, Team Japan will feature another female player, Nao Hibino, and two male players, Shintaro Mochizuki and Yasutaka Uchiyama. Go Soeda will serve as the team captain. During the group matches at the 2026 United Cup, Osaka will face Team Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu and Team Greece’s Maria Sakkari in singles matches.
