On Friday night, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves in San Francisco.
Curry made his return after a five-game absence, finishing with 39 points, five rebounds and five assists while shooting 14/28 from the field in 32 minutes of playing time.
That said, the Warriors lost by a score of 127-120.

Curry was seen entering the arena wearing a pair of Kevin Garnett’s signature Nike shoes.
Garnett then made a post to X with a message for Curry.
His post had over 22,000 likes and 600,000 impressions in less than 24 hours.

The future Hall of Famer is averaging 28.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range in 17 games.

The Warriors are 13-13 in 26 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 4-6 over their last ten games.
Following the Timberwolves, the Warriors will play their next game on Sunday when they visit Scoot Henderson and the Portland Trail Blazers (in Oregon).
As for Garnett, he was the fifth pick in the 1995 NBA Draft out of high school.
He played 21 seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.
His career averages were 17.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 49.7% from the field and 27.5% from three-point range in 1,462 games.
Garnett won the 2004 MVP Award (and helped lead the Celtics to the 2008 title over the Los Angeles Lakers).
