EXCLUSIVE: As Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Wife, New-Born Await, Alexandre Müller Opens Up

Alexandre Müller opens up about his "wife" and new born while disclosing upcoming meetings with Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner.

As the 2026 season nears, Alexandre Müller is looking forward to spending time in elite company in Dubai, with Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic making the desert city their training base. The French tennis player, who became a father just a couple of weeks ago, is already back to work, competing at the 2025 Tennis Premier League exhibition event.

PFSN recently caught up with Müller, ahead of his preseason training and return to Dubai, where he resides.

Alexandre Müller Opens Up About Exhibition Appearance and Being Apart From His Wife and New Born

Müller competed at a unique 25-point Tennis Premier League exhibition event in Ahmedabad, where he represented the home-state team, Gujarat Panthers. Although the team was unable to make it through to the semifinals, the Frenchman enjoyed massive crowd support. While speaking to PFSN after his match, Müller revealed whether he enjoyed the new “short” and “very fast” format.

“I feel great. I feel better and better. The first day was a bit difficult.”

Offering a peek into his mindset, the 28-year-old said:

“Every point counts. So you know that when you lose some points, it’s very important for the team, so you need to be focused.”

Müller traveled to Ahmedabad merely days after welcoming his first child with his partner, Julie Demoulins. The athlete couldn’t contain his joy about his new role as a father while confirming the birth of his 10-day-old daughter.

“(I am a father) since 10 days now. It’s amazing! I think it’s the best emotion of life. Little daughter since 10 days now. Happy dad!”

He, however, rejected the idea that the new arrival would alter his perspective on his tennis career.

“(My perspective would) not (change) so much. Of course, I’m gonna miss my wife and my daughter when I’m gonna leave the house but I still have some good years, I hope, in tennis.

“So I will try my best, and after (that), when I’m gonna be done, I’m gonna be with them, so it’s gonna be good,” he added.

He also wished for his daughter to watch him play tennis a few years down the line.

“Not today; today, she’s sleeping but maybe later. And if I comeback to India maybe one day she’ll come.”

Alexandre Müller Reveals Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner Plan During Pre-Season

Last year, Müller made headlines when he unexpectedly bumped into Roger Federer during a golf outing in Dubai. Just days later, he practiced with Jannik Sinner during the latter’s training drill in the city. The Frenchman started his 2025 season, accomplishing a huge milestone by winning his first-ever tour-level title in Hong Kong. About the noteworthy chain of events, he told PFSN:

“I think it’s good to practice with the best players. I don’t think that playing golf with Roger made me win Hong Kong but, yes, some good practice with Sinner is always good to improve your tennis. I think it’s important, yes.”

In hopes of replicating his success, Müller revealed that he may have some elite plans in the cards after returning to Dubai this year, too.

“After this competition, I go back to Dubai, to my home, and I have some practice with Sinner and Djokovic, so I think it’s going to be the same for me.”

The World No. 42, who reached a career high of 38 in 2025, noted that he’s been consistent with his ranking growth in recent times, a trend he wishes to continue while aiming for a second title in 2026.

“My goal is why not to win one more title. It’s always nice to win a title, and yeah, if possible, (I’d want) my ranking to be the best again. It’s now the fifth year in a row that my (year-end) ranking is near my best ranking (of the year), so why not again, the best ranking.”

Müller begins his 2026 journey on Jan. 5 in Hong Kong as the defending champion for the first time in his career.
