Breece Hall Injury Update

This is not the first time Hall has appeared on the injury report this season, but everything has been minor so far. The veteran running back has yet to miss a game in 2025.

Hall did not practice on Wednesday with what was described as knee soreness. While Hall was not spotted on Thursday initially by beat reporters, he did take the field later on and was officially listed as limited.

The Jets are playing out a lost season at 3-10. Hall is set to be a free agent in March. There is little incentive for either side to push Hall to play meaningless games with a banged up knee. If anything, it might behoove the Jets to get an extended look at Isaiah Davis, as his performance could play a role in whether they try and extend Hall, tag him, or let him walk.

With that said, Hall does appear on track to play. It is possible he aggravates the issue and ends up shut down at a later date. But for now, Hall is likely dealing with soreness and the Wednesday absence was merely maintenance.

Hall’s Fantasy Outlook

If Hall cannot play, Isaiah Davis would see all the work he can handle. The matchup is tough with Brady Cook under center against a Jaguars defense allowing the seventh fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to running backs. Even so, Davis would be a volume-based Flex option, at worst.

Davis needs to be rostered in all leagues at this point. The second-year back demonstrated his capability when called upon earlier this season. While he lacks Hall’s explosiveness and receiving prowess, Davis has shown enough to warrant consideration as a fantasy option if he receives significant volume.

Hall has done well given the circumstances this season. The Jets have had no continuity at quarterback, and the quarterbacks they’ve had haven’t been good. They have an incompetent head coach and their best offensive player has missed half the season.

Fantasy managers rostering Hall should monitor Friday’s practice report closely. But as long as Hall gets in another limited session, at worst, he should be fine for Sunday.
