What Can Fans Expect From the 2025 World Tennis League’s Venue, Schedule, and Lineup?

The 2025 World Tennis League (WTL) marks the fourth edition of the mixed-gender exhibition event and will make its debut in India, following previous staging in the UAE. The league will take place from December 17-20 at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium in Bengaluru.

WTL 2025 features four franchise teams, each combining international and rising Indian players. Monfils headlines the Eagles roster with Sumit Nagal, Paula Badosa, and Shrivalli Bhamidipati. Svitolina lines up for the Hawks alongside Denis Shapovalov, Yuki Bhambri, and Maaya Revathi.

They will compete against the Falcons, led by Daniil Medvedev and Rohan Bopanna with Magda Linette and Sahaja Yamalapalli, and the Kites, fronted by Nick Kyrgios with Dhakshineshwar Suresh, Marta Kostyuk, and Ankita Raina. Together, the league showcases 16 players across the four teams.

Under the WTL format, each tie includes four sets covering men’s singles, women’s singles, and two doubles sets, with doubles formats determined by a coin toss. Total games won decide the winner, and matches can extend into Overtime or a Super Shootout.

Golden Point scoring at deuce and tie breaks at 6-6 keep the tempo high, with every point carrying weight. The round robin stretch ensures that every team faces each other once, and only the top two reach the Dec. 20 final.
