Boston Celtics Send Love To NBA Legend Larry Bird

The Boston Celtics made a post for NBA legend Larry Bird. He recently celebrated his birthday.

Larry Bird is one of the best 15 players in NBA history.

The Basketball Hall of Famer last played in the league during the 1991-92 season.

Boston Celtics Send Birthday Love To Larry Bird

Bird spent all 13 seasons of his career playing for the Boston Celtics.

He recently celebrated his 69th birthday.

One person who showed love to Bird was the Celtics.

Their First Post (on December 7): “Happy birthday Larry ☘️🎂🎉”

Bird was the sixth pick in the 1978 NBA Draft out of Indiana State.

He didn’t play his rookie season until 1979-80 (and immediately became an All-Star).

Bird had career averages of 24.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field and 37.6% from three-point range in 897 games.

He led the Celtics to three NBA Championships.

Many credit Bird (and Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson) for the incredible growth of the NBA.

At one point, Bird won three MVP awards in a row.

He also averaged at least 20 points per contest in 11 out of his 13 seasons as a pro.

As for the current Celtics, they last won a title during the 2024 season.

They are currently the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 15-9 record in 24 games.

On Thursday night, the Celtics will play the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.
