Ben Shelton Headlines a Packed Exhibition Event in Atlanta
Shelton’s offseason stop in Georgia aligned with the inaugural Atlanta Cup, a one-night exhibition held Dec. 6, 2025, at Gas South Arena. The event brought together four marquee names: World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka on the women’s side, along with Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios and hometown favorite Shelton on the men’s side.
Sabalenka edged Osaka in their singles matchup, while Shelton defeated Kyrgios before teaming with Sabalenka for a mixed doubles win against Osaka and Kyrgios. The exhibition gave Atlanta tennis fans a high-energy showcase and provided Shelton the chance to perform in front of a hometown crowd while settling into his offseason routine.

Away from the court, Shelton immersed himself in family time, joining both sides of his family for a weekend gathering. He later shared scenes from those moments on Instagram, posting a carousel that captured everything from on-court snapshots at the Atlanta Cup to candid photos with friends and relatives.
The standout clip featured Shelton surprising his sister with the new SUV.
As he handed her the keys, he told her, “Merry Christmas,” prompting Emma to stare in disbelief before asking, “Why did you do that? How did you get me a car?” Shelton replied, “I told you I was going to do it.”
Still overwhelmed, Emma told him, “Bro, I’m like, I’m going to throw up,” while checking out the car. Shelton joked back, “Then do it before you get in.”
