Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics on Friday night in Massachusetts.

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Celtics in Boston.

The Lakers (who were on the second night of a back-to-back) got blown out by a score of 126-105.

Bronny James finished the loss with five points, one assist and one steal while shooting 2/3 from the field in seven minutes of playing time.

Bronny was the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball at USC.

He came into play with averages of 1.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 28.6% from the field and 25.0% from three-point range.

Bronny has also spent a lot of time in the G League dating back to last season.

So far this year, he has averages of 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 34.1% from the field and 18.2% from three-point range in four games with South Bay.

With the loss to the Celtics, the Lakers dropped to 16-6 in 22 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference.

They are still 9-3 in the 12 games they have played on the road away from Los Angeles.

Following the Celtics, the Lakers are now headed to Philadelphia for a showdown with the 76ers on Sunday.

Bronny has been unable to land a consistent spot in JJ Redick’s rotation over part of two seasons.

However, he is just 21, so there is still the chance that he can develop into a reliable NBA player.

On the other side, the Celtics improved to 14-9 in 23 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak.

Following the Lakers, the Celtics will play their next game on Sunday when they visit RJ Barrett and the Toronto Raptors in Canada.
