Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese Headline Team USA Women’s National Team Training Camp Roster

The USA Women's National Team have been dominant in recent years, and as they search for a fifth straight FIBA World Cup crown, their training camp roster has been announced.

The 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup is quickly approaching, and with so much talent, the USA Women’s National Team are optimistic in claiming their 12th Gold Medal at the tournament. While there’s still an NCAA and a WNBA season to go before the tournament takes place in Germany, the US team are looking to put their roster together, with many superstar players to choose from.

Young Stars Highlight the USA Women’s National Team Training Camp Roster

Now, with just under a year to go until the tournament, the US announced on social media their roster for the upcoming tournament and potential warm-up games, with a superstar-laden roster.

Obviously, the biggest name on the roster is Caitlin Clark, who has taken the women’s basketball scene by storm in recent years, becoming the draw that the WNBA have been waiting for over the past few decades. Despite injuries last season, Clark is still one of the most effective players in basketball, averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 8.5 assists a game over two WNBA seasons thus far.

However, she’s not the only exciting young player on the roster, with fellow 2024 draft class players Angel Reese and Cameron Brink also bringing something different to this roster in the front court. Despite taking plenty of criticism, Reese averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in her second WNBA season, improving her overall shooting percentage to 48% as well.

On top of that are some veterans like Kelsey Plum, Brittney Griner, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray and Dearica Hamby, with 2025 Rookie of the Year Paige Beuckers also a feature of the roster. Despite not having the hype of Clark coming into her rookie campaign, Bueckers adapted to the WNBA game better than anyone could have hoped, averaging 19.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in a fantastic season.

However, the biggest intrigue of all is USC superstar JuJu Watkins, who may be the next big thing coming into the WNBA following two seasons in the NCAA in which she averaged an impressive 25.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. She is set to miss the 2025/26 season with USC, however, due to a torn ACL suffered in the NCAA tournament, which means that while she’s on the roster, it’s unclear how much she can compete at training camp.

On paper, this is a team that’s full of superstars, great balance and experience, and with the USA winning the last four FIBA World Cups and 11 overall, they will be confident in achieving more success. Currently, they rank No. 1 in the world, but with Australia, France, China and Belgium rounding out the top-five, only time will tell if this roster can find success.
