Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is putting on a show for the home fans in South Bend, Ind., on Saturday as the No. 9 Fighting Irish are totally manhandling Syracuse.
Love has been putting himself in the spotlight on Saturday, stirring college football fans to want Love slotted as a favorite for college football’s most incredible individual honor.
Is Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love Getting Heisman Love?
As Notre Dame rolled to a 63-0 lead in the fourth quarter over Syracuse, Love was probably looking at his own stat sheet for the game. Love carried the ball eight times for 171 yards and three touchdowns, including a 68-yard scamper that had fans aiming their camera phones to catch him running.
Love even got into the chatter around a Heisman Trophy candidacy, striking a Heisman pose himself. With that, the image appeared on the scoreboard and sent fans into a frenzy.

After watching Love run wild on Saturday, one fan already thinks that the Notre Dame running back should be in the Heisman Trophy conversation. The fan wrote, “Jeremiyah Love should win the Heisman. He’s the best player this year regardless of position. Looks different. Plays different. He’s the closest thing I’ve seen to Reggie Bush.”
Another college football observer thinks that Love better win the Heisman Trophy or else. The person wrote, “If anyone other than Jeremiyah Love wins the Heisman Trophy, I sincerely hope they enjoy their phony award.”
This fan also believes that if anyone other than Love wins the Heisman, then it’ll be quite a joke. The fan wrote, “If Jeremiyah Love doesn’t win the Heisman this year…something is seriously wrong.” And this fan wants Love to get a plane ticket to New York City already and wrote, “GET JEREMIYAH LOVE TO NEW YORK!!”
