Sinner vs. Auger-Aliassime Prediction
Sinner will enter the match as the overwhelming favorite to win given his dominant run of form. However, Auger-Aliassime did manage to trouble the Italian a little during their US Open semifinal and plays well on indoor courts. The Canadian has also been in fine form lately, so there is a fair chance of him putting up a tough fight against Sinner.
The World No.2 has served brilliantly so far in Paris, having won 96 out of 117 points (82.1%) on his first serve and serving 16 aces. His power-hitting, movement, and aggression will no doubt make things difficult for Auger-Aliassime.
The Canadian’s first-serve has been a crucial part of his run at the Paris Masters so far, having won 189 out 222 points (85.2%) and serving 54 aces. Auger-Aliassime has an impressive forehand and he is also a lot more composed on court lately, a trait which will be crucial if he is to stand a chance against Sinner.
Sinner seems to be going from strength to strength so far in Paris and this was evident in his semifinal against Zverev, who, just days back, pushed him to three sets in Vienna. While Auger-Aliassime looks to be close to the level many expected him to be in after the 2022 season, there is a very good chance of the Italian beating him and reclaiming the No. 1 ranking.
