Connor McDavid’s Wife Gives Sneak Peek Into Celebrations As Oilers’ Adam Henrique Hits a Special Milestone

Inside the Oilers’ family celebration as Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle marks Adam Henrique’s 1,000th NHL game with a special tribute.

It was the kind of night that reminds you why sports matter. At Rogers Place, the Edmonton Oilers paused to celebrate Adam Henrique’s 1,000th NHL game, a number that doesn’t come around often, and one that clearly meant a lot to everyone in the building.

And while the spotlight was on Henrique, a small but touching moment came off-ice. Lauren Kyle, wife of Oilers captain Connor McDavid, gave fans a peek behind the curtain on Instagram.

Did Connor McDavid’s Wife Give Fans an Insider Look at the 1,000th Game Celebration?

She posted photos of the postgame setup, featuring navy and orange everywhere, a cake made for the occasion, and large “1000” balloons filling the room.

“1000!!! 💙🧡” she wrote.

Henrique is in his 16th NHL season now, which says plenty on its own. Before the puck dropped against the Rangers, the Oilers rolled a highlight video, rookie clips from New Jersey, his days in Anaheim, and now his run in Edmonton. The crowd gave him a long-standing ovation that didn’t feel forced; it felt earned.

Out on the ice, Henrique was surrounded by his parents, wife Lauren, and their daughters, Blake and Sophie. He got the traditional silver stick from the Oilers and a Tiffany crystal from the league.

“It doesn’t seem real,” Henrique said afterward, shaking his head a little. “It feels like the birthday that doesn’t end. It’s just been great, but a very special honor. I’m very proud to be the first Oiler to do it.”

The Off-Ice Family

Off the ice, Kyle’s post added a little extra warmth to the night. Her photos showed the other side of the celebration, the family vibe the Oilers talk about so often. Different partners, like Alexa Jones and Ida Bjornstad, chimed in online as well, proving that the support system runs deep.

It’s something McDavid often points to when people ask about team chemistry. He was one of the first players to skate over and congratulate Henrique, and later joined in for the group photos after the game.

This wasn’t just another number on the board. Henrique became the first player ever to reach 1,000 career games while wearing an Oilers jersey. Since coming over from Anaheim in 2024, he’s been exactly what you’d want a veteran to be: steady, positive, and grounded.

“This organization has been amazing to me & my family since I’ve been here & it’s something I am very proud of,” Henrique said.

For the Oilers, it was a feel-good night in a season full of high expectations. For Henrique, it was a reminder of how far he’s come, and how much the people around him matter.
