‘Chris Grier Is the #1 Problem’ — Calls Mount for Dolphins To Fire GM As Fans Blast Team’s Awful Performance vs. Ravens

Chris Grier faced intense backlash from Dolphins fans on social media after Miami’s blowout loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.

While watching the Miami Dolphins put up a stinker on Thursday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens, Dolphins fans are directing their angst at general manager Chris Grier.

The Dolphins, who entered Thursday night’s game with a 2-6 record, were losing 28-6 in the fourth quarter to Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and his arsenal of offensive weapons at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.

According to numerous comments online, Dolphins fans want Grier gone ASAP. Of course, they also might wish to see Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel get a pink slip, too.

What Were Dolphins Fans Saying About GM Chris Grier?

One Dolphins fan was quite clear that Grier was the main problem at this time.

The fan wrote on X, “Chris Grier is the #1 problem with all this”.

This fan was quite clear that he wanted McDaniel and Grier to get the heave-ho immediately. The fan posted on X, “I can’t do it anymore fire McDaniel , fire Grier”. Well, this fan used the term “dumpster fire” in his comments and wrote, “Don’t even wait until the bye. Fire McDaniel tonight. Grier too. Just a total dumpster fire”.

As for this fan, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was caught in the crossfire here, too. The fan wrote on X, “How Ross can watch this game and be like… this front office can change this franchise. Grier 10 years and no playoff win. I think Ross must be retarded”.

This was a pretty on-point comment from a fan who wrote, “Chris Grier gotta go too”. One fan recalled a move Grier made and is calling out the Dolphins GM for it. This fan wrote, “I’d also like to fire Chris Grier. Dude traded up to get Jonah, and we were better off with Liam Eichenberg”.

As for this team, who is responsible for how it’s been made up this season? One fan points a finger right at Grier: “Chris Grier is responsible for this awful team”.

Well, Ross is getting more heat from just apparently sitting idly by while Grier and McDaniel run this Dolphins team into the ground. This Miami fan went on X and posted, “I know they just smacked the Falcons last week, but this entire game has been fans wearing bags and booing. How does Stephen Ross continue to watch this and not fire Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier? 2-7…how does he continue to do nothing?”

How about one more dig for the road? This fan puts some things about the Dolphins’ current situation pretty succinctly. The fan wrote, “It doesn’t matter if they don’t fire Grier. He’s the problem unless you want to put it all on Ross…which I could go either way on.”

In their Thursday night game against the Ravens, the Dolphins have been in position to score touchdowns five times. All the Miami offense has to show for its efforts are two field goals. That’s not going to work. And Dolphins fans were walking out with 11 minutes in the fourth quarter.

So, Dolphins fans can look to see what Ross might do in the coming days. Things might change on Friday, one day after this awful game on national television.
