Taylor Fritz became a parent at the age of 19 when his son, Jordan, was born in 2017. He recently expressed a desire to coach Jordan in tennis after retiring from the sport.
Fritz married his high school love, Raquel Pedraza, in California in 2016. Their son, Jordan, was born a year later in January 2017, and the couple divorced in 2019. Since then, the World No. 4 has been in a relationship with social media influencer Morgan Riddle. They have been together for over five years, starting to date in 2020.
What Did Taylor Fritz Say About Coaching His Son Jordan in Tennis?
In a recent interview with GQ, Fritz and Riddle discussed their relationship and their plans for having children in the future. Fritz shared that he would love to be a “tennis dad,” to which Riddle added that if he were to train children, she would like it to be “WTA players,” hinting at her desire for daughters.
“I would love to be a tennis dad,” Fritz said.
“Planning on training WTA players,” Riddle chimed in.
Fritz mentioned that when he and Riddle have kids, he will probably encourage them to play tennis. He revealed that he has already given tennis lessons to his son, Jordan, and expressed his intention to be his son’s “tennis coach” in the future.
Fritz also mentioned that Jordan is “unimpressed” with him, despite being a World No. 4 player.
“I’m sure if…when…we have kids, they will probably play tennis. With my son, I’ve definitely given him lessons. I’d love to be the tennis coach. But with all the travel, with tennis, I’m just not there yet. He’s pretty unimpressed by me being number four in the world,” Fritz added.

He is seeded fourth in the tournament and started his campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye.
