Musetti vs Sonego Head-to-Head

Musetti vs Sonego Prediction

Musetti has served well on hard courts this year, winning 74% of his first-serve points and 67% of total service points. He has performed well during pressure points, saving 62% of the break points he has faced. On return, the Italian has been aggressive on his opponent’s second serve, winning 54% of the points during second-serve returns, with a 39% break-point conversion rate.

Sonego has also done well on serve on hard courts this year, winning over 70% of his first-serve points and saving 69% of the break points he has conceded. On return, he is a bit behind Musetti, winning 33% of total return points compared with Musetti’s 38%.

Musetti does not have a great record at the Paris Masters, holding a 5-5 win-loss record in four previous appearances, with his best result being a quarterfinal run in 2022. This is only the second time Sonego has advanced past the first round at the Paris Masters since 2020, when he won his opening match against Alexander Bublik but then lost to Alex de Minaur in the next round.

Sonego has to perform well on return to have a chance against Musetti, as the latter will find openings in Sonego’s serve with his creative shot-making. Musetti also has the added motivation of qualifying for the ATP Finals and will be the favorite to win the upcoming match and make a deep run in Paris.

Pick: Musetti to win in straight sets
