Raiders Star Maxx Crosby Makes Stance Clear Amid Rumored Cowboys’ Trade Interest

Maxx Crosby responds to his trade rumors after Cowboys reportedly reached out to Raiders for a potential deal to acquire star edge player.

Maxx Crosby has been rumored to be available ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline. The Las Vegas Raiders have struggled this year and could be headed for a rebuild, which has contributed to the trade rumors.

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the superstar edge rusher as their defense has been a major issue this season. They have apparently reached out to the Raiders for a potential trade, and Crosby has made his opinion of the situation clear.

Maxx Crosby Responds to Trade Rumors

Crosby has been one of the best edge players in the entire NFL over the past few years. The Raiders star has been selected as a first-team All-Pro and consistently ranks among the top of the league in generating quarterback pressures for their defense.

PFSN’s NFL EDGE Impact Rankings currently give him the 11th-highest score among his position during the 2025 NFL season so far. This could be why the Cowboys have expressed interest in trading for him, as the Raiders appear to be falling out of playoff contention and could be heading towards a rebuild.

FOX Sports‘ Jay Glazer recently gave an update on this developing situation during their NFL pregame show on Sunday. He reported that the Raiders have apparently rejected the trade offers and that Crosby has no desire to be moved to a different team.

Glazer mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders as other teams that may have reached out to the Raiders to acquire Crosby before the deadline, potentially. He said that the franchise has insisted that they have no intention of moving arguably their best player, despite their overall struggles this year.

The superstar has apparently taken a similar stance, as he reportedly expresses no desire to play for a different team. Players in his situation are sometimes seeking to join contenders where their skill sets can be on display, but he has a loyalty to Las Vegas.

He signed a three-year contract extension during the offseason this year, worth $106.5 million, which keeps him under team control until 2030. This complicates his trade situation as any team that potentially acquires him would be locked into a long-term deal.

The Raiders are apparently uninterested in moving him, but it will be interesting to see if they change their minds with the November 4th trade deadline approaching.
